Biography
Prof. Dr. Seda Nur Topkaya Çetin is a professor of Analytical Chemistry and a leading researcher at the Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG) and the Dokuz Eylül University International Biomedicine and Genome Institute. She earned her BPharm, MSc, and PhD degrees from Ege University, specializing in electrochemical biosensors for nucleic acid detection. Her research focuses on the development of nanomaterial-based biosensors, electrochemical diagnostic platforms, and point-of-care devices for medical and environmental applications. Prof. Topkaya Çetin has conducted doctoral research at Harvard-MIT and postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute and collaborated with international institutions in Germany, France, the Czech Republic, and Indonesia. She is the principal investigator of numerous nationally funded projects and holds several patents in biosensor technologies. With over 55 peer-reviewed publications and several editorial and scientific committee roles, she is recognized for her contributions to biosensing technologies and pharmaceutical analysis.
