Biography
Prof. Dr. Gültekin TARCAN'ın kısa özgeçmişi
1986 yılında DEÜ Jeoloji Mühendisliği Bölümü'nden mezun oldu ve Jeoloji Mühendisi oldu. Aynı üniversitede Uygulamalı Jeoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda Hidrojeoloji alanında 1989 yılında yüksek lisansını, 1995 yılında doktorasını tamamladı. 1987-1997 yılları arasında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Mühendislik Fakültesi Jeoloji Mühendisliği Bölümü'nde Araştırma Görevlisi olarak; 1997-2000 yılları arasında Yardımcı Doçent Doktor, 2000-2006 yılları arasında Doçent olarak çalıştı. 2016 yılı Haziran ayından itibaren Profesör Doktor Öğretim Üyesi olarak eğitim, öğretim ve araştırma görevlerini sürdürmektedir.
Başlıca uzmanlık alanları Hidrojeoloji, Hidrojeokimya, Çevre Jeolojisi ve Jeotermal Enerji'dir. 28'i SCI kapsamlı dergilerde olmak üzere 32 uluslararası makalesi ve yurt içi hakemli dergilerde yayınlanmış 18 ulusal makalesi bulunmaktadır. SCI kapsamına sahip dergilerde uluslararası makalelere toplam 609 atıf (h-index=15) bulunmaktadır. Uluslararası sempozyum/kongre kitaplarında tam metin olarak yayınlanan 13 uluslararası bildirisi ve özet olarak yayınlanan 23 uluslararası bildirisi, ulusal sempozyum kitaplarında tam metin olarak yayınlanan 21 ulusal bildirisi ve özet olarak yayınlanan 33 ulusal bildirisi bulunmaktadır. Yürütücü olarak üstlendiği ve tamamladığı 3 TÜBİTAK ve 6 BAP projesi bulunmaktadır.
