Biography

He was born in Bergama. He completed his primary and secondary education in Bergama. He started his history education at Uludag University. He received his master's and PhD degrees from Dokuz Eylul University on the educational policy of the republican era. He continued his postdoctoral researches in the field od comparative education and educational policy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the USA in 2004-2006 and 2014-2016. Many of his books, book chapters, articles in Turkish and English were published, covering topics such as educational policy, foreign experts, teacher training, school buildings, and theoretical foundations of social studies. He has worked in the projects of the European Union, the Ministry of National Education and the Scientific and Techological Research Council of Turkiye.
