Prof. KORCAN DEMİR

Biography

Dr. Demir was born in 1978 in Denizli. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He completed his Pediatrics (2007) and Pediatric Endocrinology (2011) residency training at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine. After three and a half years of experience in Gaziantep Children's Hospital and Dr. Behçet Uz Children's Hospital, he has been working as a faculty member at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology since 2014.

He has served on numerous committees in Turkish Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. He is principally involved in clinical activities, teaches endocrinology to medical students and residents. He has research experience on various areas in pediatric endocrinology while the focus is on thyroid diseases, rickets, rare genetic endocrine diseases, and web-based medical tools (www.childmetrics.org).
