Assoc. Prof. EMRE BİLGİN SARI

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Bilgin Sarı was born in 1987 in Turgutlu, Manisa. She completed her high school education in 2005 at Turgutlu Anatolian High School. She graduated with a double bachelor's degree by completing the Business Administration and Logistics Management undergraduate programs at Izmir University of Economics, where she studied for her undergraduate education between 2005 and 2010. In 2010, she started the Master's Program in Production Management and Industrial Management at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Social Sciences. In 2010, she was accepted to the Research Assistant position opened in the Department of Business Administration, Department of Production and Marketing, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Dokuz Eylül University. In 2012, she defended her master's thesis titled "Reverse Logistics Network Design: An Application in the Recycling" and then started the Business Administration Doctorate program. In 2016, she defended her doctoral thesis titled "Monitoring Operational Performance in the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Model and Its Application in a Manufacturing Enterprise".

Having published many national and international publications on production systems, production technologies, lean production, World Class Manufacturing, greenhouse production system, and Industry 4.0, Bilgin Sarı received the title of Associate Professor in Production and Operations Management by the Interuniversity Board in 2020. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Bilgin Sarı, who applied to expand her studies internationally and was awarded the Tubitak BIDEB 2209 International Postdoctoral Research Support in 2021, was a visiting professor at the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering, Russ College of Engineering and Technology, Ohio University, United States of America between 2022 and 2023. During this period, she continued her scientific research on seruproduction system, gave seminars, and participated in workshops. Having established contacts with the International Production Research Association (IFPR), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Bilgin Sarı has been a participant in the International Conference Production Research (ICPR) organized by IFPR every year and was awarded the best research award with the model she prepared regarding the Seru Production System at the conference held in Brazil in 2022. In order to continue the international study discipline she gained, she made two research presentations at the ICPR 2023 program held at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and participated in the ICPR 2024 held at the Ohio University in the United States by receiving the TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2224 Participation in International Scientific Activities Support.

She has an academic researcher identity with 55 publications published in national and international journals, presented at conferences and published as books, and continues her teaching duties by giving undergraduate and graduate courses on Production Management, Technology Management, Introduction to Business Administration, and Supply Chain Management. Currently serving as a faculty member at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University, Assoc. Emre Bilgin Sarı is married and a mother of one child.
