Associate Prof. Dr. Ebru GÜLLER

She completed her undergraduate education in 2004 at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture. She completed her master’s degree at the same university in 2008 with the thesis titled “Research of colour in healthcare buildings within the private branch hospitals patient rooms”. She completed one term of her Master’s Degree education at the University of Applied Sciences Koblenz in Germany. In 2014, completing her thesis study titled “The effects of colour in rehabilitation spaces within/for the purpose of education of mentally retarded children”, which is a totally experimental study; she gained her Ph.D. in Architectural Design Program at Dokuz Eylul University. Between the years 2003-2005, she worked in the private sector on the design and the construction projects of hospital, school, housing and so on. She is now Associate Professor in the Architecture Department of Architecture Faculty at Dokuz Eylul University where she has been working since 2006. Since 2009, she has been working as director in the workshops of the “Children-Architecture Commission” of “İzmir Chamber of Architects”. At the same time, she takes part in the “Energy-Efficient Buildings and Building Physics Commission” in the organisation of activities to raise awareness and consciousness regarding a sustainable environment. She has articles, bulletins, design and application projects on the topics of healthy and disabled children spaces, education and healthcare buildings, perception of space, barrier-free design, colour in achitecture and sustainable architecture; she has interdisciplinary projects and got 4 awards in architectural project design competitions. She had been the project director on behalf of Dokuz Eylül University at H2020-Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions European Researchers' Night Project, International Mersin Science Night (MERSCIN). She was the Consortium Leader of Aegean Region on behalf of Dokuz Eylül University at H2020-"Sustainable Environment and Climate Change International Science Festival SECC-SCIFEST" Project.
