Aslıhan Şenel Solmaz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at Dokuz Eylül University, Türkiye. Her research focuses on building energy performance, energy efficiency, life cycle cost analysis, and multi-objective optimization, with a recent emphasis on machine learning-based decision-support systems for early-stage design. Through her publications in international peer-reviewed journals, she contributes to the evaluation of building performance across different climate regions and the development of energy-efficient design strategies. Her work integrates simulation-based modeling, optimization, and data-driven methods within a holistic framework, and is supported by international research experience at the University of California, Berkeley; the University of Southern California; and Portland State University.
