Özet

Maritime pilotage, which is a profession that relies on expertise and experience, is a vital component of the procedures that take place during port operations. The actions of the pilotage play an essential part in guaranteeing the safe navigation of vessels and the efficiency of doing so in problematic locations. In the traditional pilotage, the marine pilot must physically board the vessel in order to do the task. But, as a result of technology improvements, the features of the maritime business have changed fast, and a new term, remote pilotage, has entered our lives to describe the process by which a pilot is able to carry out piloting operations while stationed on shore. The purpose of this research is to conduct a literature review and an analysis of the benefits and drawbacks associated with remote pilotage operations
