Abstract

Nickel thin films have a wide range of applications, including touchscreens, solar cells, magnetic

devices, and corrosion-resistant coatings, due to their unique properties. This study investigates the

electrodeposition of nickel thin films onto indium-doped tin oxide coated glass (ITO) using a Watt bath and nickel

plate as the electrolyte and anode, respectively. The study focuses on evaluating the impact of current density on

the deposition process. The study utilizes scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray

spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) to conduct morphological and elemental

analysis. The significance of this study lies in addressing the limited research on nickel thin films deposited on

transparent conductive oxides.
