OPHTHALMIC SURGERY AND LASERS, cilt.29, sa.12, ss.991-992, 1998 (SCI-Expanded)
The authors report a rare consequence of an anteriorly migrated encircling silicone band. The extruded encircling band, which "cheesewired" forward through the superior and medial rectus insertions straddled the cornea firmly and formed a corneal groove. Corneal groove is an extremely rare complication of scleral buckling surgery.
