Özet

The industry of maritime transportation is currently facing a pivotal moment as it navigates the competing demands of the preservation of the environment and efficiency optimization under changing regulatory environments. Waste heat recovery (WHR) systems have become a key player in this environment, providing ship operators with a mechanism to comply with strict International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations while also increasing operational sustainability (Altosole et al. 2017). WHR systems are an essential technical advancement in the dynamic world of marine operations, where sustainability and efficiency are critical issues.
