Strategic Navigation through Economic Corridors: Intersecting Geoeconomics and Geopolitics, KHAN KASHIF HASAN, Editör, Palgrave Macmillan Springer Nature, Singapore, ss.203-220, 2025
The study focuses on the transformative role of crises, investigating how the times of crisis can be transformed into permanent peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus. The study analyzes the discourses of the authorities of the countries through which the proposed Zangezur Corridor passes and the influential countries in the region—Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkiye, Russia and Iran. The findings suggest that while Azerbaijan and Turkiye are very interested in opening corridor, Iran and Armenia demonstrate resistance and Russia remains neutral. On the other hand, all six states continuously call for regional peace, stability and cooperation. This situation strengthens the possibility of the Zangezur Corridor project to be a tool to turn crisis into opportunity in the South Caucasus.
