This chapter provides an overview of the topography of the neuraxis, its vascularization, and the ventricular system in the human brain. It explores the new perspectives offered by the use of high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (hMRI) and with the auxilium of relevant dissections of the human brain performed through various methods including the Klingler's one. Overall, this chapter serves as a valuable resource for students, researchers, and healthcare professionals seeking a comprehensive understanding of the neuraxis, and it lays a foundation for further exploration into the complexities of the human brain and its intricate network of structures and functions.
