Abstract

Optical transitions near the fundamental band edge are studied for CuInSe2 films having various Cu/In ratios by analysing the variations of the absorption coefficient with incident photon energy. The results indicate different transitions depending upon the Cu/In ratio. There are sub-bandgap absorption for near stoichiometric and Cu-rich films.
