The main aim of this study was to investigate the relations among teachers' personality traits, their coping ways with stress and control appraisal. Big Five Personality Scale, Coping Attitudes Scale, Control Appraisal Scale were administered to 391 volunteer teachers, 168 of whom were females and 223 males. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that some personality traits such as extraversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness and emotional stability were significantly associated with teachers' coping strategies Results also showed that there was a significant relationship between control appraisal and emotional avoidance.
