This study investigated the effect of reagent synergism on gold flotation by conducting tests on gold ore samples from the Bergama Ovaci{dotless}k gold ore deposit. The results were evaluated by using a first order flotation model. Based on the results, the most effective reagent combination was determined as a potassium amyl xhanthate (Aero 350), dialkyl dithiophosphate (Aerofloat 208) and dialkyl dithiophosphinate (Aerophine 3418A) mixture. It was observed that increasing the Na2S addition to the pulp up to 85 g/t increased the rate constant (k), while increasing the reagent addition further caused decreases in the rate constant (k) and ultimate gold recovery (R∞) values. The rate constant (k) and ultimate recovery values were not affected by the addition of CuSO4 to the pulp.
