Özet

Precise delineation of subsurface fault geometries is critical for seismotectonic analysis and seismic hazard assessment. While correlating earthquake hypocenters with active fault traces and topography provides essential structural insights, generating high-resolution cross-sections typically requires complex workflows involving command-line scripts (e.g., GMT), proprietary software licenses (e.g., ZMAP/MATLAB), or cumbersome GIS plugins. To address these limitations, TectoView is introduced as an open-source, web-based tool designed for rapid seismotectonic visualization. Developed using HTML5 and JavaScript, the application performs all data processing on the client-side, utilizing the Haversine and Heron’s formulas for rigorous geometric projection of hypocenters onto user-defined profiles with adjustable swath widths. Key features include drag-and-drop data import, real-time interactivity, automatic mainshock identification, and temporal phase separation. The tool’s efficacy is demonstrated through a case study of the 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquake doublet (Mw 7.8–7.6, Türkiye–Syria border region), where it successfully delineated the sub-vertical geometry of the East Anatolian Fault Zone using a double-difference relocated catalog and revealed the depth distribution of the aftershock sequence within seconds. By eliminating installation barriers and providing publication-quality graphical outputs, TectoView democratizes access to advanced seismological analysis, bridging the gap between raw catalog data and structural interpretation.
