Özet

Third Generation (3G) cellular network technology allows the transmission of information and voice at higher data rates. 3G security model achieves confidentiality and integrity by using KASUMI block cipher algorithm as a standard. However, a number of serious weaknesses in the KASUMI cipher have been identified. For this reason, users may need other encryption applications. If phone user wants to be sure that the data transmitted can only be decrypted by the intended receiver, the user should use an encryption application. This work looks for the answers of the question if it is possible to make efficient and stable encrypted video calls and this paper presents the performance results of RSA encryption of a video call on mobile interne devices. To measure the process, an application is developed which captures live images from webcam then encrypts the images with RSA and then sends it over TCP-IP protocol to receiver.
