Özet

In this study, we propose a new algorithm for designing unimodular constant modulus sequences by using stopband frequencies and the metric of integrated sidelobe level (ISL). In the literature, SCAN (stopband CAN) was proposed as an extension of CAN (cyclic algorithm-new) algorithm for designing sequences to suppress the desired stopband frequencies and having a low ISL value. However, CAN algorithm minimizes a quadratic approximation of the ISL metric instead of the exact ISL. Therefore, a new algorithm employing the majorization minimization method is proposed in this study in order to suppress the stopband power and minimize the exact value of the metric of ISL. As can be seen from the simulation results, performance of the new algorithm proposed in this study is better than SCAN in terms of iteration number, CPU time, ISL, and the power in the stopband frequencies.
