Abstract

The monitoring of gravity changes in a region enables the investigation of regional structural elements depending upon the changes in mass compensation. Especially the microgravity method, which is preferred in recent years, yields good results from different part of the world. With the addition of GPS/GNSS monitoring to microgravity studies, the behavior of a region both in the lateral and vertical directions can be estimated. Besides, the main fault system and the mechanical links can be determined owing to this study. The mass changes within the crust in vertical direction are evaluated with the help of microgravity method while the lateral movements of the same blocks are evaluated by GPS/GNSS. Hence, by evalauating GPS/GNSS together with the network system, tectonical deformation can be illustrated in detail.
