The lupus erythematosus lichen planus overlap syndrome refers to a clinicacl picture in which the skin lesions show clinical, histological and immunofluorescence characteristics that may be typical for both diseases at the same time. Here we report two cases of lupus erythematosus lichen planus overlap syndrome as the first patients of our dermatology literature. The first patient is a 53-year-old man who has round or oval, erythematous, papules and plaques with few of them showing polycyclic pattern on the trunk and lived-red nummular hyperkeratotic lesions on the extensor surfaces of the extremities with reticular patches on the buccal mucosa. The second patient is a 23-year-old man whose physical examination reveals erythematous scaling papules with follicular plugging on the face and besides erythematous scaling papules, lived-red papules on the extremities.
