Abstract
In this paper, the problem of channel estimation for transmissions coded with Alamouti's space-time block code is addressed. Under fast Rayleigh fading conditions, minimum mean square error decision-feedback equalizer is proposed for Alamouti's space-time block code, and, a least mean square based channel estimation algorithm which jointly operates with the proposed equalizer is developed. The performance of the proposed receiver for GSM/EDGE is shown by computer simulations. © 2005 IEEE.
