Özet

Electroencephalography (EEG) brainwaves supply useful information for prediction of emotion status of human. In this study, EEG signal acquisition has been examined. For the analysis data recorded with Emotiv EPOC+ 14 channel EEG device. Different experiments were designed using visual stimuli in order to determine which regions of the brain were active and the relation was determined between emotions and activity centers. Photographs which are related with different emotions were shown to the participants. Brain waves were obtained and then they were filtered for frequency domain. It was learned in the literature research that these waves can be used to investigate concentration and anxiety. Hence, the levels of concentration and anxiety which were obtained from the ratios of Theta (4Hz - 7Hz), Low Beta (12Hz - 20Hz) and High Beta (20Hz - 35Hz) waves were calculated and shown on two separate graphs. Python programming language is used for the constituted software. In this study, it was aimed to determine the emotions of subjects from the change of concentration and anxiety levels.
