In this study, final exam timetabling and proctor scheduling problems are integrated and a mathematical approach is proposed for the solution. In standard exam timetabling problems, only the constraints concerning the students are handled. Exam schedules are prepared and then, proctors are allocated to exams. However, since proctors are also of interest in the exams, their requirements should also be considered. Therefore, integrating both problems and finding a solution to the composite problem would be beneficial for proctors as well as students. Two different approaches to solve the final exam timetabling and proctor scheduling problems of Dokuz Eylul University Industrial Engineering Department are employed in the study and the results are compared. In the first approach final exam timetable is prepared using integer programming (IP). The results are used as inputs in the proctor scheduling problem and this problem is also solved using IP. In the second approach, the two problems are integrated and solved together with IP. In both approaches, same constraints and objective functions are used.
