Özet

Electronic waste refers to thousands of discarded electronic devices such as computers, televisions, cell phones and printers. The electronic waste stream is growing faster than the other waste streams. Electronic waste streams are growing fast related to the growing sales of these products and shortening the life spans of these products. As the laws related with electronic waste become more forcible, then the firms will have to carry the responsibilities of taking-back the electronic products that have come the end of their useful life more. So collecting, handling and processing the obsolete electronic products become more significant for the firms. The electronic firms will have to design their reverse supply chains in order to collect the obsolete electronic products. There are many critical factors for the success of electronic waste supply chains in addition to the critical factors for the success of reverse supply chains. Interviews were made with two big firms in Turkey for getting information about their electronic waste streams. According to the interviews, the critical factors for the reverse supply chains for discard electronic products have been evaluated and a flowchart for e-waste supply chains has been suggested.
