Bu çalışmada İzmir İli merkezi ve çevresinin Ciğerotu florasının son durumu araştırılmıştır. Çalışma alanı Henderson kareleme sistemine göre B6 karede yer almaktadır. Gerçekleştirilen arazi çalışmalarında Marchantiopsida (Hepaticae) sınıfına bağlı 17 familyaya ait 19 ciğerotu türüne rastlanmıştır. Bunlardan 5 tanesinin (Sphaerocarpos texanus Austin, Lophocolea heterophylla (Schrad.) Dumort., Jungermannia atrovirens Dumort., Cephaloziella hampeane (Nees) Schiffn. ve Lejeunea lamacerina (Steph.) Schiffn.) İzmir İli için yeni kayıt özelliği taşıdığı anlaşılmıştır.
A survey of the liverwort flora in İzmir city center and its surrounding areas was conducted. The research site is located within the B6 square according to the Henderson grid system. During the field studies, 19 liverwort species belonging to 17 families of the class Marchantiopsida (Hepaticae) were encountered. 5 of them (Sphaerocarpos texanus Austin, Lophocolea heterophylla (Schrad.) Dumort., Jungermannia atrovirens Dumort., Cephaloziella hampeana (Nees) Schiffn. and Lejeunea lamacerina (Steph.) Schiffn.) have been determined as new records for the province of İzmir.
