Abstract

We prospectively evaluated the effect of various systemic alpha(1) adrenergic receptor antagonists on pupillary dilation in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Patients who are at risk for intraoperative floppy iris syndrome cannot be elucidated simply by judging preoperative dilation.
