Biosensors have emerged as powerful analytical tools with applications wide range from healthcare diagnosis to environment detection. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with biosensing platforms has garnered significant attention for their superior specialties, such as increased surface area, adaptable porosity, and excellent chemical and thermal stability. This book chapter provides an overview of the recent advances in the synthesis, characterization, and applications of MOFs for biosensors. The chapter also discusses the challenges associated with MOF integration, such as biocompatibility and compatibility with biological matrices, and presents strategies to overcome these hurdles.
