Özet
Cryptocurrency wallets are devices, physical mediums, programs or online services which store the keys used in cryptocurrency transactions. The loss of wallet keys can result in substantial economic damage, making secure storage crucial. Traditional approaches based on a single key have a single point of failure, therefore increasing the risk of users losing their assets. This project uses Shamir's scheme introduced by Adi Shamir in 1979. The main purpose of this algorithm is to divide a secret that needs to be encrypted into various shares. The original secret can be obtained by combining a specific number of shares (the threshold value), instead of requiring all shares to rebuild the original secret, thus making Shamir's Secret Sharing secure against an enemy with unlimited computing power. The project combines this powerful algorithm with BIP-39 Mnemonics, QR code generation from shares and the steganography (Least Significant Bit) technique which allows shares to be embedded in pictures. The MnemoShare project also possesses a security protection against web-based threats thanks to its MetaMask Snap Integration which provides the ability to split the secret without any contact to the Web API or its memory. Overall, a secure cryptocurrency key management architecture, combining a theoretical concept with a real-life application is presented by the MnemoShare system.
