Özet

This paper aims to give a detailed modeling study on self-excited induction generator (SEIG) with fixed capacitor excitation and shunt voltage regulation. For modeling purposes, the results obtained from the comparison of steady-state and dynamic analyses of a fixed capacitor SEIG with experimental results are presented in this scope. Finally, the voltage regulation scheme with voltage source inverter (VSI) based static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is investigated through dynamic models. The applicability of the control scheme by slip-regulation and modulation index control for the SEIG is shown by means of computer simulations.
