This study makes a discourse analysis experiment in historical texts by prioritizing Gramsci's analysis of ideology and power relations. Since Gramsci's approach allows to make a comparison over binary structures, it is useful in drawing meaningful conclusions from limited information for periods of high social conflict, such as the National Movement period. Selecting the two articles by random sampling that support and oppose the National Movement, in this study text analysis was made based on Gramsci's views, and as a result, evaluations of the social structure of the period were reached.
