Abstract

Renal cell carcinoma is a hot topic in urologic oncology, thanks to a better understanding of the disease mechanisms, which has resulted in the developments and approval of targeted therapies. Six agents are now approved in the treatment of metastatic renal cell carcinoma. Some new information was presented at the recent Joint 15th European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) - 34th European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Multidisciplinary Congress in Berlin.
