Abstract

Teknolojinin gelişimi sonucu tekstil ve moda tasarımında üretim yöntemleri değişim göstermektedir. 3B yazıcılar günümüzün gelişmekte olan önemli teknolojilerden birisi olup tekstil ve moda ürünlerinin üretiminde kullanımı giderek yaygınlaşmaktadır. Dolayısıyla, daha önce görülmemiş bir estetik ile bu teknolojiyi birleştirerek moda dünyasına sunulan tasarımlar, 3B yazıcılara duyulan ilginin artmasını sağlamıştır. Teknolojik gelişmeleri yoğun emek gücüyle birleştiren Iris van Herpen, özellikle 3B yazıcı teknolojisini kullanarak hayata geçirdiği tasarımlarıyla moda dünyasında öncülük etmiştir. Bu çalışmada günümüzde hala koleksiyonlarında aktif olarak bu teknolojiyi kullanmaya devam eden Iris van Herpen’in tasarımları üzerinden, 3 boyutlu yazıcı teknolojilerinin moda tasarımına sağladığı katkılar, tekstil ürünlerinde aranan elastikiyet gibi özellikleri sağlamada alınan yol, tasarım ve teknolojinin estetik ifade gücüyle birleşimi incelenmiştir.


As a result of the technological developments, the production methods of textile and fashion design have changed. Use of 3D printers, which are one of the important developing technologies nowadays, is becoming increasingly popular for production of textile and fashion products. Thus, designs presented to the fashion world by combining unique aesthetics with this technology aroused widespead interest. Iris van Herpen, who combines technological developments with the power of extensive handworks, has been a pioneer in fashion world especially with her designs by using 3D printer technology. In this study, contributions of 3D printing technology to the fashion design, progress for the achievements of the properties such as the required elasticity in textile products and combination of design and technology with power of aesthetic expression are discussed through designs of Iris Van Herpen who is still using this technology actively in her recent collections.
