Özet

Estimation of sediment transport phenomenon is one of the significant mechanisms in optimum design, better use and management of water structures such as flood controls, dams, irrigation systems. In this study, the sediment transport problem was solved as 1D using finite volumes method with kinematic wave model approach. Furthermore, this phenomenon was investigated using explicit and implicit schemes under equilibrium and non-equilibrium transport conditions. The results of numerical solutions are compared with experimental data, and it was observed that results in non-equilibrium sediment transport using implicit scheme are more compatible with those of experimental studies.
