A total of 31 European glass lizard, Pseudopus apodus specimens (12 males, 19 females) collected
from 8 different localities in Çanakkale, Samsun and Kars provinces (Northern Turkey) between 2004—2011
and preserved as museum specimens were examined for helminths for the first time. P. apodus harbored one
species of cestoda (Mesocestoides sp. Tetrathyridia), one species of digenea (Telorchis assula), four species of
nematoda (Entomelas ophisauri, Oswaldocruzia filiformis, Parapharyngodon skrjabini, and Neoxysomatium
brevicaudatum) and one species of Acanthocephala (Centrorhynchus sp). All helminths represents new host
records for Pseudopus apodus in Turkey.
