Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease characterized by multisystem organ involvement and various symptoms.
Many diseases present with laboratory and clinical features similar to those of SLE, for example, malignancies and infections that are
termed “lupus mimickers”. This article presents a case of visceral leishmaniasis in which clinical characteristics and laboratory profiles
imitated SLE in our hospital.
