Photography is constantly changing under the influence of the developments in technology and finds a place for itself in new application areas. Photography, which is frequently used especially in new media and social media applications, gains new qualities with new technologies. It did not take long for photography to take place on NFT platforms, which are becoming increasingly popular today. The aim of this study is to examine in detail the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) environment, which has become both a new media derivative and a digital art gallery, and the blockchain structure to which immutable token technology is connected, and the position of photography in the middle of the concepts of digital art and crypto art in the recent period. It is aimed to create a detailed guide about the process of converting the photographs taken in this field to NFT, by examining the new movement area and value system gained by the artist, especially in this new field called crypto art, and putting them up for sale on NFT platforms. In this study, photos on the OpenSea platform, which is called the largest marketplace in the NFT environment, are mainly discussed. Again, as a method, foreign and domestic sources in this new field have been examined and a literature review has been made. Although NFT technology is still a new field, it promises many innovations and conveniences, especially in the field of art. While photography takes place in society as a representation of reality, the relationship that digital photography and even NFT establish with reality; The relation of virtual to reality has created a new “photo”, which is called photography but not photography. In this new era of photography, photo-realistic images produced from scratch with software and artificial intelligence, photographs that have been transformed by digital manipulations and manipulations, have been experiencing one of the most important points of change since the day they were discovered with NFT. Photography is located in an interdisciplinary place and becomes a digital art product. Photography, which also takes place in the field of NFT, needs to be examined in the new period, how it is under the influence of changes in new fields. This gives an idea about the future of photography. Photography, in which the physical object has disappeared and is located in the virtual world, offers new possibilities in the field of copyright, together with NFT. It is very important at this stage to distinguish this new photograph from the classical photograph and to make new definitions and determinations. Social media, one of the important turning points of photography, is experiencing another turning point with NFT becoming a new media derivative. On the other hand, photography, which is frequently used interdisciplinary, captures new artistic perspectives and acquires a new language in new environments.
