Objective. Postchemotherapy surgery has become an increasingly important treatment for residual masses in germ cell tumors of the testis. However, it is still a challenge to find the optimal combination of chemotherapy and surgery for better survival and cure rates with lowest morbidity. This study evaluated the effectiveness of extended chemotherapy followed by surgery resecting only the residual masses.
