Özet
Hematological cancers are types of cancer that originate from bone marrow or immune system cells. With the expected increase in life expectancy, the incidence of these cancers is rising. The prognosis and treatment of cancer can lead to significant local or systemic side effects across all systems, requiring patients to manage many symptoms. Laughter yoga plays an important role in symptom management. Research indicates that laughter yoga can help manage various symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, pain, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. Despite this, the number of studies evaluating the effects of laughter yoga in patients with hematological cancers is limited. The results of existing studies suggest that laughter yoga is an effective approach that can positively improve perceived stress, nausea and vomiting management, anxiety, depression, exercise capacity, and quality of life. In conclusion, laughter yoga is a complementary therapy that supports the physical and psychological well-being of patients with hematological cancers. Structured randomized controlled trials on hematological cancer patients in this area should be conducted and integrated into curriculum programs, and laughter yoga clubs for patients and caregivers can be established.
