Özet
Kinetics of biological removal of COD from a synthetic wastewater in a continuous fluidized bed containing sponge particles with wire mesh was investigated. Synthetic wastewater consisted of diluted molasses, urea, KH2PO4 and MgSO4 resulting in COD/N/P = 100/8/1. Fluidized bed contained sponge particles surrounded by stainless steel wires as support particles for organisms. A culture of Zooglea ramigera was used as the dominant organisms in mixed culture media throughout the experiments.
