Özet

Air quality continues to be one of the most evident impacts in the formation of urban metropolises or mega-cities. Exposure to elevated concentrations of ambient air pollutants causes adverse human health effects. In addition to the criteria gaseous and particulate air pollutant, a number of toxic contaminants exists in the atmosphere of cities and surrounding areas which are related to public health and regulatory concern. One of the facilities which release toxic air contaminants into the atmosphere are excessive industrialization and accordingly industrial wastewater treatment plant. The emissions of volatile organic carbons (VOCs) such as carbon tetra chloride, 1,3-butadiene, ethylene oxide and trichloroethylene are carcinogen and mutagen for human health due to the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment in USA.
