Özet

This case study focuses on the visitor management challenges in Beehive National Park, a protected area experiencing increasing pressure from diverse and sometimes conflicting visitor groups. With growing popularity, the park faces a range of issues including overcrowding, environmental stress, safety concerns, and rising dissatisfaction reflected in visitor complaints and online reviews. The case provides a realistic scenario where students explore the causes of conflict among different user groups and assess how these challenges affect the overall visitor experience. Designed for students in tourism, sustainability, and environmental management programs, the case promotes active learning through stakeholder analysis, role-playing, and collaborative problem-solving. Learners are encouraged to apply sustainable tourism strategies, develop practical responses to complaints, and design long-term action plans that balance conservation goals with recreational use. By engaging with this case, students will gain insights into managing protected natural areas more effectively and addressing the complex expectations of varied visitor profiles.
