Abstract

One of the most important opportunistic fungal infections typically occuring in immunocompromised patients is mucormycosis. Although it is usually a fatal disease, early diagnosis and therapy can extend the patient's life. In this report, three rhinocerebral mucormycosis cases with positive cultures are presented for the purpose of pointing out the importance of prompt diagnosis.
