In this study, lanthanum manganite (LaMnO3) thin films were prepared by sol-gel method for magnet technology. With this context, precursor solutions with low contact angles were synthesized from all nitrate salts of the respective cations (La, Mn), using ethanol as solvent and acetyl acetone as chelating agents. A dense amorphous film was deposited on silicon (Si) substrate. Crystallization of the films was carried out at temperatures between 850 and 1000 degrees C. The thermal, phase, elemental, microstructural and magnetic properties of the obtained samples were determined by TG/DTA, FTIR, XRD, XPS, SEM and VSM. The results show that sustained perovskite polycrystalline films were grown on the [100]-oriented Si substrates. In addition, the films show ferromagnetic behavior.
