Bu çalışmanın amacı Kandiye ve Hanya'nın yanı sıra Resmo'da da Yunan Ayaklanması'na katılanların mallarına müsadere işlemi uygulandığının ortaya konulmasıdır. Çakşmada temel' olarak Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi'ndeki müsadere ve müzayede kayıtları ile Resmo kadı sicilleri'~ kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada bu süreçte müsadere ve müzayede işlemleri ile Resmo'da mülkiyetin"' önemli ölçüde el değiştirdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Resmo şehir merkezinde ve çevresinde çok sayıda mülk Müslümanların eline geçmiştir.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that confiscations of wealth of those participated in the Greek Rebellion were not limited to Candia and Chania regions, but extensively applied in Rethymno as well. This study evaluates the testimony of Rethymno confiscation record books in the Prime Ministry's Ottoman Archive and Rethymno kadi records We argue that confiscation and auction practices following the uprising led to a substantial change in the ownership of goods and properties in Rethymno. Therefore, Muslims took possession of a number of real estates both in the city center and the neighboring districts.
