One of the main considerations in mining activities is blasting induced environmental impacts which effect historical, military and natural resources if blasting operations are close to those facilities. The same case that is subjected to this paper has occured in Izmir at two different Limestone quarries having boundaries with a sensitive facilities. Instead of not allowing blasting operations, officers of sensitive facilitiy tried to find a scientific way to establish safety distances that does not allow the vibration affect to their services. In this paper, the study done on constituting the non effecting zone by formulating ground vibration analysis has been given in detail. A new blasting pattern has been offered to reduce the risk on sensitive facilities.
