Özet

We investigate the fourth-order eigenvalue problem with transmission conditions. We apply the Fourier method for solving of this problem arising in finding of transverse vibration of a string. We derive the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of Sturm-Liouville problems and their properties. We obtain a solution of the considered equation subject to initial, boundary and transmission conditions at the point of discontinuity.
