Abstract

In this paper a survey of literature on thermal conductivity of nanometer sized particle and fiber filled polymer composites are given as well as thermal conductivity of nanofluids (nanoparticles in suspension in fluids). Also models predicting the effective thermal conductivity of composites filled with particles are stated and are compared with experimental data with microsized Al2O3 particle filled HDPE composite.
