The autobiography holds a prominent place in Arabic literature and is rich in artistic elements that resemble those of novels in many ways. This study aimed to explore the intersection of autobiographical characters with the fictional characters of Najib Al-Kilani, through his autobiography (Glances from My Life), which consists of five volumes, and his novels (The Kingdom of Al-Balhouti) and (Journey to Allah). The research employed a descriptive-analytical methodology to study the elements of Al-Kilani's autobiography, focusing on character development, and investigating the intersections and similarities between autobiographical and fictional characters, as well as analyzing these characters and elucidating their artistic and thematic functions. It also examined the extent to which these characters influenced Al- Kilani both humanly and artistically. The research concluded with the following results: Al-Kilani was influenced by the character of his grandfather, whom he projected onto the main character in (The Kingdom of Al-Balhouti). In (Journey to God), two characters—the jailer and the prisoner—were presented, reflecting a historical period experienced by Al-Kilani, which he chronicled in his novels. All these characters significantly impacted him psychologically and intellectually, shaping his reality and life, which he conveyed to the reader through the main characters in his works.
