Özet

Information packages are special frames that are supported by a particular software infrastructure, and characterized as guides which provide systematical and sustainable documentation promoting institutions. This case study presents how such a frame or product is designed and implemented within Dokuz Eylul University (DEU). The design process is managed through multiple phases. In the first phase, stakeholders of the product, system entities used by the stakeholders, technological infrastructure and software are defined; and standard documentation are created by observing relationships among the stakeholders, task distributions, follow up reports. After building a systematical infrastructure for the information package, "snow pile" model is adopted for university-wide involvement and problem-solving processes. The components of the information package are arranged considering a particular set of rules defined with respect to the requirements of Bologna Process. Some of the components are designed from scratch whereas the others are transferred from the existing information system of DEU. Thus, all of the components are integrated as a single product enabling to discover errors, deficiencies, and improvement points in the system. Via this case study, the information package and related processes are represented on a graph that shows all possible interactions among them. This study can be considered as a qualified case for implementing the requirements of the Bologna Process since it exhibits how to configure and manage such a process systematically.
